We recently attended a screening for the movie
Shrek Forever After in 3D where a bored and domesticated Shrek makes a pact with deal-maker Rumpelstiltskin to get back to feeling like a real ogre again. When he’s duped and sent to a twisted version of Far Far Away — where Rumpelstiltskin is king, ogres are hunted, and he and Fiona have never met — he sets out to restore his world and reclaim his true love.
Shrek Forever After is a fitting fourth film in the animated series. The movie was a mature story of romance and regret and yet hilarious enough for kids and grown-ups alike. Shari had some concerns about some of the early scenes being too scary for her six-year-old, son but he was fine and enjoyed the movie. While the film was in 3D we’ve been very spoiled by the 3D of
Avatar -- and there’s definitely no comparison.
If you’re looking for something for the family to do on a rainy day or to get out of the heat
Shrek Forever After is definitely a good choice.
