The Beauty Spot was created for those of us who love a little glamour, whether we’re in a boardroom or with the kids at the park. We get a little high after finding the perfect shade of lip gloss, can’t resist the latest mascara promising ultra-long lashes and know that a good moisturizer is worth the investment. We love being women, but are still girlie girls at heart.

Beauty Express

Assuming you have time for a night out, here are some tips to brighten those tired mom eyes. Putting on a pair of false lashes will give you that paparazzi worthy look for any party, and really give you that extra pop for the camera.  (e.l.f. cosmetics dramatic lashes, $1 at eyeslipsface.com)
To create dramatic eyes at night apply a liquid eyeliner to the lash line for bold lines.  Extend upward and up past the edge of your eye slightly to create a Hollywood winged eye effect. (Jane Iredale $20 at beauty.com) Finally, curling your lashes will give you the enhanced look.  Make sure to curl your lashes prior to mascara application to avoid breaking and pulling.  Heat your curler for 10 seconds with your hair dryer to help give your eyelash curler extra curling power.  (e.l.f. cosmetics Studio Eyelash Curler $3 at eyeslipsface.com)

You Can’t Live Without

If you really want a complete look that frames your face, fill in any sparse areas of the brows with a cream and powder brow filler.  This will help define your look naturally. (Benefit Brow Zings $30 at benefitcosmetics.com).  High Definition Powder will give that professional flawless and natural look in pictures for a soft focus look. (e.l.f. cosmetics High Definition Powder $6 at eyeslipsface.com)

The Five and Ten with: ACHELLE DUNAWAY

The Five Essential Beauty Products for Everyday

1. To keep your makeup lasting throughout the day apply a face primer all over the face.  This will help smooth in fine lines and keep your makeup set in place all day.  (e.l.f. Studio Mineral Infused Face Primer $6 at eyeslipsface.com)

2. To create a year-round healthy glow apply a bronzer all over the face, dust around the hair line, the hollows of the cheeks and under the jaw to slim the face and create that natural warm look. Add a little blush to the apples of the cheeks to complete the sun-kissed look. (e.l.f. cosmetics Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder $3 at eyeslipsface.com)

3. Using a lighter concealer under the eyes will help eyes look more awake and youthful.  Pat and blend in with your ring finger for a gentle coverage.  (Yves Saint Laurent Touché Éclat $40 at sephora.com)

4. Moisturizing the skin daily is essential to keep your skin hydrated and to avoid premature aging.  Apply a Tinted Moisturizer with SPF all over the face and neck for a natural and even coverage that moisturizes and protects against sun damage. (Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer $42 at lauramercier.com)

5. Mascara is a daily must to help awaken the face.  Apply several coats to the top lashes both on top and below the lash to fully saturate with color.  Apply from root to tip in a zig-zag motion to keep lashes separated and to avoid clumping. (Cover Girl Lashblast Volume Blasting Mascara $7.79 at drugstore.com)
