Liza N. Burby Publisher/Editor	First and foremost I’m mom to my two daughters, Danielle and Laura. But I’m also a noted journalist and parenting and children’s book author who has been writing in large part about and for Long Island parents for 20 years. I started Long Island Parent and this Web site three years ago to continue the reader and community relationships I developed as editor of Newsday’s Parents & Children magazine for nearly 10 years. It is because of my enthusiasm about parenting and my readers that I wanted to start this business. I also happen to like Long Island, a place my husband and I have called home for 25 years. I’m active in the community. Currently I sit on the advisory committee for the Early Years Institute, am a board member of the Child Care Council of Suffolk, and am a member of the Parenting Institute at Adelphi and the Speaker’s Bureau for the Early Years Matter Campaign—all Long-Island based organizations. Claudia Gryvatz Copquin Associate Editor	Northport resident Claudia Gryvatz Copquin, an award-winning freelance journalist and author, has been writing about family and parenting topics for many years.  Her features have appeared frequently in Newsday and Newsday's Parents & Children magazine.  She's also been published in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and other newspapers across the country.  Currently, Copquin serves as Associate Editor of Long Island Parent.  She’s also a Long Island mom of three daughters. Leslie Fazin Assistant Editor	Leslie Fazin is a writer and photographer who has lived on Long Island for over 20 years. As a recent graduate of Adelphi University, her articles have appeared in numerous publications across Long Island, including Newsday, On the Road magazine (formerly AAA Car & Travel magazine), Boating Times Long Island magazine and Long Island Parent magazine. When Leslie isn’t busy putting pen to paper, she can usually be seen behind the lens of her camera, capturing the sights and surroundings native to Long Island, Manhattan and beyond.
Susan Panetta Art Director	Susan Panetta is the former creative director of Lincoln Center and an award-winning graphic designer. She has been working with top foundations, musicians and companies for over 20 years. Her most recent endeavor is joining with New York Times best-selling author Lisa Pulitzer to establish the Pulitzer & Panetta Writing and Art Studio in Huntington. She grew up on Long Island and has now returned with her husband to raise their two beautiful boys.
Bridgette Nicolini Web Producer	Bridgette Nicolini is co-founder and President of Reach For It Media, Inc. a Design and Marketing firm located in Huntington. www.rfimedia.com She has been in the graphic design industry since 1988. She’s also mom to Hope her cat and Olive her dog and has lived on Long Island for 42 years.
Anna Damaskos Listings Editor	Anna Damaskos has lived on Long Island for over 40 years and has a strong desire to share the many opportunities that Long Island has to offer. Having compiled the Calendar of Events for Newsday's Parents and Children magazine for 10 years has prepared her to contribute to Long Island Parent magazine as a seasoned and enthusiastic Calendar Editor.
Gina Granger Copy Editor	Gina Granger, a life-long resident of Long Island, has been involved in publishing for many years. She has seen many changes occur on the Island, but still believes there is no better place to raise children. She has three daughters, all of whom are teachers, and two grandchildren.  Gina enjoys being on the staff of Long Island Parent magazine because it enables her to stay current on the latest information on parenting.  This makes her the smartest granny on the block!
Thomas J. DeLuca Strategic Advisor	Thomas J. DeLuca is an experienced practitioner of international business development and strategic management of entrepreneurial companies. He received his Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business from Fordham University School of Law, prior to which he graduated from St. John's University's Schools of Law and Business with joint JD/MBA degrees. He’s also a Long Island dad of three, two daughters and a son.
